According to their individual responsibilities, the Prosecutor’s Office charged the defendants with aggravated criminal conspiracy; trafficking, manufacture or possession of narcotics; and use of minors to commit crimes.
The Office of the Attorney General determined that people under investigation were allegedly engaged in local trafficking of narcotics such as cocaine, bazuco and marijuana in the La Vega and Alfonso López neighborhoods since March 2023. The criminal network used minors to evade the authorities and alert the members of the illegal organization about the movements of the Police.
The Office of the Attorney General found that the alleged members of the illegal organization allegedly played a specific role to sell narcotics in doses. These activities were carried out on public roads and in homes that they used as a facade, obtaining illegal incomes of more than 30 million pesos per month.
None of the defendants pleaded guilty to the charges brought against them. At the request of the Office of the Attorney General, the judge imposed prison sentences on nine of the defendants, and the other person must serve home confinement.
