A prosecutor appointed to the sectional Office in Bolívar prosecuted Julián Andrés Zuleta Estrada and Junior Alexander Patiño Gil, both 30 years old, for their alleged responsibility in the crime of aggravated and qualified theft.
According to the investigation, the defendants would be involved in stealing objects from people in the tourist and historic areas of Cartagena. Both men would be linked to the robbery in which a tourist was the victim while he was entering a restaurant in the city last June 30.
The defendant allegedly threatened the victim and robbed his jewelry and other belongings valued at more than 100 million COP. Zuleta Estrada and Patiño Gil were arrested in Bellavista neighborhood in Bolívar by virtue of court orders. These procedures were carried out by the National Police.
The suspects did not plead guilty to the charges. The judge ordered to serve a sentence in San Sebastián Ternera prison in La Heroica.
