The crimes were committed in different neighborhoods of the so-called Comuna 8 of Cúcuta (Norte de Santander).
The Attorney General’s Office obtained a conviction of 23 years and 6 months in prison against Ronal Fabián Grisales Moreno, alias el Zorro; considered a hitman of the criminal group La Familia P responsible for at least six homicides that took place in Cúcuta.
Alias el Zorro was found guilty of aggravated homicide; aggravated manufacture, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition; and simple kidnapping. These charges are related to crimes that occurred between June and September 2023 in Antonia Santos, Brisas del Mirador, Sabana, Nueva Ilusión and Belisario neighborhoods.
One of the incidents took place on June 6, 2023 in Nueva Ilusión human settlement where a man was kidnapped and murdered with a sharp weapon. The victim had signs of torture.
The 25-year-old convicted man was arrested on September 8, 2023 in Cúcuta by investigators of the Technical Investigative Corps (CTI) and the National Police. The man will serve his sentence in the so-called Modelo prison in this city.
