The evidence provided by the Attorney General’s Office allowed a judge to impose detention measures on nine alleged members of the illegal organization Los Morrocos, for conspiracy to commit crimes for drug trafficking purposes; trafficking, manufacture or aggravated possession of narcotics; and illicit destination of personal property or real estate.
They are José Eduardo Rangel, alias Pote; Lorena Garay Mejía, José Axsael Olaya Olaya, alias Chiche Negro; Jhon Harvy Londoño Olaya, alias Lalo; Giovanni Alexánder Castro, alias Rolo; Fabián Alberto Ruiz Morales, alias Condón; Luis Omar Másmela, alias Barbas; Fernando Aragón Acuña, alias Rin and Óscar David Giraldo Muriel, alias El Negro. None of them pleaded guilty to the charges.
The criminal network would be responsible for promoting the trafficking of cocaine and marijuana in Honda (Tolima) and Guaduas (Cundinamarca). According to information in the Office of the Attorney General’s hands, Carlos Andrés Medina Ramírez, alias Cofla, would be the one who coordinated the violent actions that guaranteed territorial control and local drug trafficking in the north area of the department. He is currently deprived of liberty for other proceedings.
CTI, the National Army, the Air Force and Sijin of Police in Tolima carried out four search warrants in Honda, and Puerto Bogotá in Guaduas, where the defendants were arrested.
During the proceedings, three cell phones, a motorcycle that they used to transport the substance, several grams of narcotics; 1.500.000 pesos, allegedly derived from the sale of illegal substances, among other things were seized.
Seven of these people were sent to prison, and the other two must serve house arrest.
