The Attorney General’s Office brought Óscar Daniel López Araujo to justice since, on August 6th, he allegedly stole the belongings of a merchant from Inírida (Guainía) in the company of another person. The defendant was charged with qualified and aggravated theft.

The moment in which the victim was run over by a three-wheeled motorcycle was recorded on security camera videos. While unconscious, the man’s bag was robbed.  He had nine million COP. Judicial police work allowed to identify López Araujo as one of the possible perpetrators of the crime.

The defendant was arrested on September 9 by CTI officers and the National Police and, at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, a judge imposed a prison sentence.
