A prosecutor belonging to the Sectional Office in Huila prosecuted two women and a man, allegedly involved in the murder of Yeison Fernando Díaz Fierro that took place on April 20 in Villa Café neighborhood of Pitalito.

According to the investigation, an exchange of gunshot between two criminal organizations allegedly ended up hitting Díaz Fierro. It is believed that the events occurred due to a territorial dispute between two criminal networks.

Among the involved people are: William Alexis Cañar Calderón, Kerly Tatiana Valencia Figueroa and Luisa Fernanda Zúñiga Claros, who were charged, according to their individual responsibilities, with homicide and manufacture, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition.

These people were arrested by Sijin of the National Police in the development of two search warrants carried out in two properties in San Antonio and El Porvenir neighborhoods of Valle de Laboyos.

A judge imposed a prison sentence on Cañar Calderón. The other two people must serve house arrest.

None pleaded guilty to the charges brought by the Office of the Attorney General.
