The investigations allowed to establish that the three-year-old boy was also sexually abused and subjected to acts of torture.

The Attorney General’s Office demonstrated that a man is responsible for sexually abusing, physically attacking and causing the death of his three-year-old stepson on March 5 of this year, in Carlos Lleras neighborhood, in Fusagasugá (Cundinamarca).

Due to the evidence and arguments provided, a judge sentenced him to 43 years in prison, for homicide, violent sexual assault and torture, all aggravated.

The investigation of this case began as soon as the stepfather reported the alleged disappearance of the minor. At the time, he claimed that the child was playing in front of the house where they lived and was not seen again. CTI, with the support of Army of Gaula and the National Police, obtained the videos from the security cameras, conducted interviews and various scientific techniques, and established that the man was lying.

The verifications allowed us to know that this person attacked and caused the death of his stepson in the house, and removed the corpse in green plastic bags. Later, he moved it and threw it into a wooded area of La Aguadita. There, the corpse was found by the judicial police.

The National Institute of Legal Medicine (Instituto Nacional de Medicina Legal y Ciencias Forenses) established that the victim showed severe signs of violence and sexual abuse.

The sentence is of first instance and an appeal can be lodged.
