The Attorney General’s Office brought Vielman José César Rojas before a judge since he was allegedly involved in extortion of a merchant in Arauca (Arauca). For these facts, this person was charged with attempted extortion and conspiracy to commit a crime.

The joint work between the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI), the Gaula of Army and National Police allowed the defendant’s arrest in flagrante on August 26 when, he allegedly received a sum of money in Arauca that would be related to illegal economic demands.

According to the complaint, César Rojas demanded two million pesos from the victim in exchange for not attacking him or his business. In preliminary hearings, the man did not plead guilty. 

According to the judge’s decision, the defendant must serve a preventive detention measure in prison.
