At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge imposed a prison sentence against brothers Yorney Danilo and Omar Antonio Velásquez Vergara, allegedly responsible for the crime of aggravated homicide.
The facts took place in the urban area of San Vicente de Ferrer (Antioquia) on August 23, when the brothers, 21 and 26, apparently attacked a 35-year-old merchant with a sharp weapon, who died due to the severity of the wounds in his abdomen.
The attacks took place during a fight between the alleged attackers and the victim who committed to repairing a television.
The defendants were caught in flagrante by the National Police. During the preliminary hearings, none of the suspects pleaded guilty to the charges brought against them by a prosecutor from the Sectional Office in Antioquia
The decision was appealed by the defense lawyer.
