At the request of a prosecutor belonging to the so-called Unidad de Reacción Inmediata -URI (Immediate Reaction Unit) of the Sectional Office in Putumayo, Daily Cabrera Meneses, 49 years old was sent to prison. The woman would be responsible for manufacture, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition (aggravated).
Cabrera Meneses was arrested in flagrante delicto during a search warrant carried out by the National Police in the El Pepino bridge sector, on the road that connects Pasto with the municipality of Mocoa (Putumayo).
The defendant would be responsible for transporting, on an intercity bus, 2,250 16-caliber cartridges that were hidden in canvas sacks and black bags. Cabrera Meneses was unable to legally justify the possession of the ammunition that was going to be delivered to armed groups that commit crimes in the area.
