At the request of prosecutors appointed to the so-called Unidad de Vida (Life Unit) in Bolívar and in independent investigations, prison sentences were issued against four men who allegedly participated in two homicides that occurred in the municipality of Soplaviento; and in the area of Pasacaballos (Bolívar).
The Office of the Attorney General charged them, according to their individual liability, with homicide, attempted homicide and manufacture, trafficking or possession of a firearm, all aggravated.
The violent facts took place in a fight on December 17, 2023, and in an incident that occurred on August 7 in which a hitman was hired.
Among the people arrested are Lionar José López Tuñón, 21; and Yordano Figueroa Tuñón, 32. These two people allegedly injured a 20-year-old young man with a sharp weapon in a public establishment in Soplaviento. The victim died as a result of the injuries.
Likewise, Kleider Andrés Fanayte Pérez, 19; and Esneider de Jesús Barón Martínez, 21, were prosecuted. The arrests were carried out by the National Police after they allegedly entered into a house in Bavaria neighborhood of Pasacaballos where they shot a 26-year-old man who died as a result of the attack. The victim’s father was injured.
The defendants who did not plead guilty to the charges that were brought by the Prosecutor’s Office must serve the respective preventive detention measures in the San Sebastián Ternera prison in Cartagena.
