At the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, a judge imposed a prison sentence on Leonardo Rodríguez Cortes, alias Leo, alleged author threats against human rights defenders and public servants.

The facts took place between May 4th and June 1st in La Floresta neighborhood in Bucaramanga. There, the arrested man allegedly threatened to kill a social communicator and human rights defender.

These threats were due to alleged complaints made by the victim through social networks about the worsening situation of security and the disruptions to coexistence in the area because of a commercial establishment owned by the defendant.

The complaints filed by citizens were addressed by the competent authorities and caused the closure of the place.
