The Attorney General’s Office in a joint work with the National Police arrested and prosecuted seven alleged members of the so-called AK-47 criminal group involved in petty drug dealing in Cúcuta (Norte de Santander).
The investigations led by a prosecutor belonging to the Sectional Office in Norte de Santander and the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI) determined that the defendants were apparently involved in selling, distributing and storing narcotics in places located between avenues 5th and 6th, Lineal park and other areas of the so-called Comuna Uno in Norte de Santander.
The people involved in the case are: Ányelo Daniel Rondón Finol, Carlos Eduardo Toledo Manrique, Yenny María Fuentes Pérez, Hilda Clemencia González de Álvarez, Carlos Mauricio Yajure Maldonado, Kenluis Yordan Camacho Gudez and Zahir Pedraza Castillo who were arrested downtown the city.
The Prosecutor’s Office charged them with trafficking, manufacture or aggravated possession of drugs. The defendants did not plead guilty to the charges. A judge imposed prison sentences.
