The Office of the Attorney General’s in a joint work with Sijín-National Police, prosecuted Juan David Uribe Javela, Deiner Bolaños Bravo and Rolando Ruíz Muñoz, alleged members of the criminal group Los Desalmados, allegedly responsible for thefts that occurred in December 2023 in Acevedo and Pitalito (Huila).

One of the incidents took place on December 7, 2023 on the road that leads from Higuerón to the municipality of Acevedo (Huila). According to the investigation, the defendants were driving motorcycles and intercepted, beat and intimidated a farmer with traumatic weapons in order to steal 20 million pesos from him.

The Prosecutor’s Office found that Uribe Javela, Bolaños Bravo and Ruíz Muñoz were connected to other robberies and the commission of personal injuries with firearms to coffee growers in the urban and rural area of ​​Pitalito (Huila).

These people were arrested by the Technical Investigation Corps in Bello (Antioquia) and on the public road of Valle de Laboyos.

The Prosecutor’s Office charged them with qualified and aggravated theft. They did not plead guilty to the charges. 

A judge imposed a prison sentence against Bravo Bolaños and Ruíz Muñoz; and house arrest against Uribe Javela.
