The evidence presented by the Attorney General’s Office allowed a judge to sentence Luis Carlos Llorente Espitia for his responsibility in the murder of a man on October 10, 2017, in Sincelejo (Sucre).

The decision was made after the defendant signed, freely and voluntarily, a preliminary agreement with the Attorney General’s Office which was approved by the court official.

The facts under investigation took place in Cielo Azul neighborhood when Llorente Espitia was traveling at the rear seat of a motorcycle and shot the 26-year-old victim, causing his death.

The man was convicted with homicide and manufacture, trafficking or possession of a firearm and must serve 21 years in prison.

The defendant is currently deprived of his liberty in the maximum security prison named La Tramacúa in Valledupar (Cesar) serving a sentence for other criminal proceedings.
