At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, Dumar Javier Gamboa Marín was sent to prison as the person allegedly responsible for murdering a 35-year-old woman. The crime took place on July 28, in Fundadores neighborhood in San Martín (Meta).
The defendant allegedly entered the victim’s house when she was sleeping. It is believed that the intention was to steal valuables. When she realized what was happening, she asked for help and was attacked with a knife on several occasions.
Upon hearing the victim’s screams, her mother went to the living room and found the young woman badly injured, while Gamboa Marín fled the scene.
The police’s prompt reaction allowed them to locate and identify the alleged murderer at his home some minutes later. The stolen cell phone and the clothes that he allegedly wore during the crime were found there.
