Salvador Fuentes Nañez and John Jair Zuluaga Botero, alias Mochino, who allegedly participated in two homicides that occurred in Neiva (Huila) were sentenced to prison.
The first case is related to the violent death of José Ricardo Torres Méndez. The facts took place on April 14, 2024 in a commercial establishment in Neiva (Huila) where the victim was attacked with a firearm, apparently by Fuentes Nañez.
For his part, ‘Mochino’ would be the person allegedly responsible for murdering Juan Camilo Ortega Rodríguez. The crime occurred on May 25, 2024 in Luis Carlos Galán neighborhood in the north area of the city. The defendant was traveling on a motorcycle and allegedly shot the victim with a firearm causing his death.
The arrested people were prosecuted in Neiva and Ibagué (Tolima), respectively, by the Technical Investigative Corps and National Police.
The Prosecutor’s Office charged them with homicide and qualified robbery, both aggravated. In addition to manufacture, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition. They did not plead guilty to the charges.
