At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge imposed an intramural detention measure on three men who participated in a homicide that took place in Cúcuta (Norte de Santander).

This is about Deivi Alexander Moncada Moncada, alias el Enano; Fredy Alexander Gámez, alias Toto; and Jorge Daniel Cañizares Villamizar, alias Villamizar, alleged members of the criminal structure known as la Familia P.

The investigation is related to an attack with a firearm that occurred on December 26, 2023, in García Herreros neighborhood where two brothers were murdered.

A prosecutor belonging to the so-called Unidad de Vida of the Sectional Office in Santander identified them thanks to judicial police activities such as statements, interviews, analysis of security camera videos, among others.

The defendants were arrested on July 2nd in a joint work between investigators from the Technical Investigative Corps (CTI) and Sijín-Metropolitan Police of Cúcuta (Norte de Santander).

The Prosecutor’s Office charged them with homicide and manufacturing, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition, both aggravated. They did not plead guilty to the charges.
