At the request of the Prosecutor’s office a judge issued a prison sentence against Rodrigo Acuña Gaona, for his alleged responsibility in the death of a 24-year-old man.
The facts took place on March 30, 2024 in the El Porvenir rural area, in Carmen del Chucurí (Santander), when defendant, 61 years old, in the middle of a fight allegedly wounded the victim with a knife who consequently died in a hospital.
The Prosecutor’s Office charged him with aggravated homicide; however, he did not plead guilty.
Acuña Gaona was arrested by the Police the same day that facts took place in a house where he remained hidden.
