At the request of prosecutors of the Sectional Office in Bolívar, the judges imposed prison sentences against three men who attacked their relatives in that department.
· In the first incident, a judge arrested a 19-year-old man, allegedly involved in physical and psychological attacks against his mother and his sister. These kind of actions took place in El Pozón neighborhood in Cartagena. The most recent action took place on June 5th when the defendant damaged the facade of a woman’s house since she neither allowed him to enter nor did she give him money.
· In Santa Rosa (Bolívar) a 55-year-old man was prosecuted after he attacked his wife and children. According to the investigation, on June 22nd, the defendant set fire to a mattress inside his room, and destroyed belongings and the facade of the property where she lives with his daughter.
· Finally, a man who repeatedly hit his sentimental partner in Boston neighborhood in Cartagena on June 20th was deprived of his liberty. They have been in a relationship for a year and a half. The 32-year-old defendant allegedly threatened the woman with death whose hair is believed to have been cut with a sharp weapon.
The Office of the Attorney General charged the defendants with domestic violence. They did not plead guilty to the charges.
