The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted Carmen Paola Pinto Fernández for her alleged responsibility in an attack against her sentimental partner in Leticia (Amazonas) with a knife.
On June 20th, the woman apparently attacked her romantic partner with a knife downtown the municipality, causing a wound to his chest. Due to the severity of the injury, the man was taken to a hospital and was saved.
According to the investigation, Pinto Fernández in an alleged fit of jealousy, attacked the man since he was talking to another woman. The defendant tried to flee but she was arrested by a security guard.
A prosecutor from the Sectional Office in Amazonas charged her with attempted murder. She did not plead guilty. A judge imposed a prison sentence.
