The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted six alleged members of the criminal group ‘Los Brothers’, an illegal network involved in the sale of  brownies, cookies and cakes, among other products, contaminated with marijuana. They would also be involved in the manufacture of synthetic drugs such as 2CB and Rosín.

People allegedly involved are: Yesid Puentes, Nicolás Macías Beltrán, Axel Rene López, Luis Alberto Rueda, Manuel Andrés Donado and Salomón Acuña who, apparently, offered the groceries through social networks and distributed them through home deliveries in Bucaramanga and its metropolitan area. In many cases the substances were delivered to minors.

The members of the illegal organization apparently used public transportation vehicles to evade the control of the authorities.

During home searches, narcotics such as cocaine, coca base and marijuana were seized; in addition to cash, ammunition, cell phones, components to manufacture and dose illicit substances.

The investigation allowed to establish that the illicit income produced profits for the organization that would exceed three million pesos per day.

The defendants were charged with trafficking, manufacturing and possession of narcotics. They did not plead guilty to the charges. A judge imposed a prison sentence.
