At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge imposed a prison sentence against four alleged members of the criminal group ‘Anubis’, involved in drug trafficking in Puerto Nuevo, El Guamo and surrounding areas of Simacota, (Santander).
During the investigation it was established that this structure was involved in the sale of marijuana and cocaine through home delivery which affected the security and coexistence of the rural area of that municipality in Santander.
After three home searches carried out with the support of Police and National Army, four firearms, five cell phones, 600 grams of narcotics, cash and ammunition were seized.
The Prosecutor’s Office charged them, in accordance with their individual criminal responsibilities, with trafficking, manufacturing or possession of narcotics and trafficking, manufacturing or possession of firearms and ammunition.
The arrested people were Giovanny Useche Campos, Greydi Fernando Martínez, Carlos Andrés Flórez and Jairo Ismeli Espinoza. They did not plead guilty to the charges.
