The corpse of the 16-year-old teenager was found in a wooded area in the Alto Palmira rural area
At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge issued a prison sentence against Carlos Eduardo Yandun Chapuesgual, 21 years old, for his alleged responsibility in the crime of aggravated femicide.
The facts took place on April 15 and 22, 2024 in Alto Palmira rural area, Valle del Guamuez (Putumayo).
The teenager’s corpse allegedly remained in a wooded area of the water outlet for irrigation of said sector during these days. SIJÍN officers arrived at that place and carried out the respective technical inspection.
During the collection of evidence, forensic tests were carried out on the minor’s corpse, as well as investigative work at the place of residence of Yandun Chapuesgual where apparently the minor,16, spent the night before the crime.
The suspect was arrested by the National Police in a home located at El Jardín neighborhood of that municipality during a search warrant.
In the hearings, the man did not plead guilty to the charges that were brought by the Office of the Attorney General.
