The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted a man for being allegedly responsible for the murder of his son in the rural area of Ataco (Tolima).
According to the investigation, the crime took place on April 14, 2024 when the victim was shot, apparently by his father, in an act of domestic violence, moments in which the victim tried to defend his wife and mother due to constant mistreatment and insults committed by the defendant.
Sijin officers arrested this person 12 days after the facts took place by virtue of a court order, in the El Centro neighborhood of that municipality.
A prosecutor assigned to the Sectional Office in Tolima charged him with aggravated homicide, illegal possession of firearms and domestic violence. He did not plead guilty to the charges.
A judge imposed a prison sentence, approving this way, the request made by the Prosecutor’s Office.
