The Prosecutor’s Office is investigating whether the two men, of foreign nationality, participated in a triple homicide that occurred last weekend in Urrao (Antioquia).
At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge imposed a detention measure in prison against foreign citizens Cristofer José Marín Villegas, alias Duende, and Yoel Ángel Escalona Castañeda, alias Angelito or Santiago; alleged members of the ‘Clan del Golfo’.
Both were arrested in flagrante delicto during an operation carried out by the Police and the National Army in La Honda de Urrao (Antioquia), in which a 20-caliber shotgun with 9 cartridges and a fragmentation grenade were seized.
The Prosecutor’s Office charged them with illegal manufacturing, trafficking or possession of firearms and ammunition for personal defense and for the exclusive use of the Military Forces. They did not plead guilty to the charges.
The Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the alleged participation of Marín Villegas and Escalona Castañeda in the homicide of three people on the night of April 20, in a commercial establishment located in a rural area of the aforementioned municipality in southwest area of Antioquia.
