The conclusive evidence provided by a sectional prosecutor allowed a judge to issue a detention order in prison against Kevin Viveros Riascos, alias Jaider.
Viveros Riascos, an alleged member of the Los Espartanos criminal structure, was charged with aggravated extortion.
Arrest of alias Jaider was carried out by Gaula-National Police and Gaula-Army, during a controlled delivery of one million pesos by a merchant who reported that he had been the subject of death threats by Los Espartanos if he refused to pay a sum of money to guarantee his safety.
According to the investigation, the victim arrived at a place where he was summoned by the defendant to hand the money over. When the alleged member of the criminal gang received the money, Gaula members arrested him in flagrante delicto.
In the judicial proceeding, a motorcycle on which he arrived at the meeting and a cell phone were seized from this person.
In the hearings, alias Jaider did dot plead guilty to the charges. Therefore, he was sent to Inpec to be transferred to prison in Buenaventura.
