Under the coordination of the Attorney General’s Office, the Technical Investigative Corps (CTI) and the National Army managed to arrest and prosecute two alleged members of the so-called Rodrigo Cadete Front of the FARC dissidents that operate in the Department of Huila.
The defendants are Duvan Oyola Mejía and Luis Sebastián Zapata Polanco, who were arrested in flagrante delicto, on March 25, in the village of La Trinidad de Garzón (Huila).
The defendants were in the rural area of the place, when officers patrolling the area approached them.
During the arrests, they seized evidence such as clothing for the exclusive use of the Public Force, two rifles, a belt with ammunition, multipurpose vests, a firearm, fifteen suppliers, two grenades, a cell phone and a drone.
In the hearing, the Sectional Office in Huila charged those arrested people with possession of a weapon for personal use, possession of a weapon for aggravated private use, and illegal use of uniforms and insignia. For his part, a judge issued a prison sentence.
