Jan Carlos Ramírez Losada, a 19-year-old man, was sent to prison as parto of a preventive detention measure, while the Prosecutor’s Office investigates the homicide of Hamilton Steven Avilés Murcia that occurred last year in November in Campoalegre, Huila.
The defendant known as Castor is accused by the Prosecutor´s Office of having shot the victim at point-blank when he was traveling on foot while the man currently deprived of liberty was in a motorcycle at the back seat and apparently shot the victim.
Due to the severity of his injuries, the 22-year-old young man died in a health center in the municipality while his attacker fled.
The Prosecutor’s Office has evidence that shows that the attack was due to personal problems.
The man detained in raid by the National Police did not plead guilty to charges brought by the prosecutor leading the process.
