The top leader of the Farc´s Oliver Sinisterra structure allegedly ordered a collective homicide that occurred in August 2020

At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge imposed a prison sentence on Carlos Arturo Landázuri Cortés, alias Gringo or Fabián, as allegedly responsible for the death of six people in Guayacana, in rural area of Tumaco (Nariño).

The evidence indicates that on August 21, 2020, an armed group of Farc´s Oliver Sinisterra structure, under the direct instruction of alias Gringo or Fabián, violently entered a home, subdued six men by tying their hands, and took them to the back area of the building where they were killed with several rifle shots.

Landázuri Cortés was arrested on January 22, after he was deported by the Ecuadorian authorities who located him in a property in Imbabura. A prosecutor belonging to the Special Homicide and Macrocriminality Unit in Pasto charged him with aggravated homicide and aggravated conspiracy to commit a crime.

Alias Gringo did not plead guilty to the charges.
