Due to the conclusive evidence presented by a prosecutor from the Sectional Office in Cesar a judge sent Michael Johan Fernández Muñoz, alias Maicol, to prison as alleged responsible for the crimes of conspiracy to commit a crime and aggravated robbery.

According to the investigation, the defendant was apparently a member of the Tropa de Cristian criminal group, who was involved in the commission of robberies in various areas of Cesar, under the modality of mugging.

The last event in which alias Maicol allegedly participated occurred on January 23, 2023, where he, in the company of other men, entered a bank which is located in the municipality of Codazzi. There, under death threats, they allegedly took four million pesos from a person and several cell phones from those who were there.

It is believed that this person also have participated in another robbery committed in  San Fernando neighborhood in Valledupar, on January 20, 2023, in which after intimidating the victim with a firearm, he stole cash from the victim as was demonstrated in the interceptions made to this group.

Fernández Muñoz was arrested on January 11 in Valledupar by National Police by virtue of a court order.
