They allegedly also attempted against another person´s life
The evidence presented by a prosecutor from the Immediate Reaction Unit (URI) of the Sectional Office in Quindío allowed a judge to sentence Jhon Alexander Riaño and Jhon Henry Arenas Valencia to prison. They were allegedly involved in the murder of a man and the attempted murder of another person.
The facts occurred on January 8 in El Bosque neighborhood in the municipality of La Tebaida (Quindío) when two men were talking on a public road. Apparently, Riaño and Arenas approached them and shot them, causing the death of one of them and the other person managed to escape.
The Prosecutor’s Office charged the two people with aggravated homicide, attempted aggravated homicide and manufacturing, trafficking and possession of firearms or ammunition. None pleaded guilty to the charges.
