The conclusive evidence presented by a prosecutor from the Sectional Office in Quindío allowed a judge to send Elvira Machado Jiménez and Excenover Rojas Hincapié for their alleged responsibility in the crime of extortion.

According to the investigations, the facts occurred in December 2022 in Armenia (Quindío), where the victim, national of the Unites States apparently, met the defendant through social networks through which intimate videos were sold to him.

It is believed that, after a while, the man received phone calls from Machado Jiménez, who demanded him a large sum of money in exchange for not telling the victim’s wife about the purchase of the intimate videos.

It was established that the man gave the two defendants about 15 million pesos in 10 months.

On November 11 in the municipality of La Tebaida (Quindío), members of the Technical Investigative Corps (CTI) and Gaula-National Army arrested two alleged extortionists in flagrante delicto when they were allegedly receiving the money.

The Office of the Attorney General makes this information public for reasons of general interest.
