The evidence presented by the Attorney General’s Office allowed the judge to impose a prison sentence against Elquin Bayer Hernández, alias Chuky, allegedly involved in the attempted murder of a 38-year-old man in Santa Rosa de Cabal.
The investigation carried out by a prosecutor belonging to the Sectional Office in Risaralda established that the crime was committed on February 8, when the man was spending time with several people in the La Orqueta neighborhood in the above mentioned municipality.
According to the investigation, Bayer Hernández wounded the victim with a firearm in various parts of his body and fled the scene. The victim was taken to a medical center where he survived.
The Prosecutor’s Office charged ‘Chuky’ with attempted aggravated homicide and manufacture, trafficking and possession of firearms. The defendant did not plead guilty.
