At the request of a prosecutor from the Sectional Office in Atlantico, a judge sent Abraham Alfredo López Caballero, alias Mono Abraham, alleged head of hitmen of the so called Los Costeños gang to prison.
The facts occurred on January 26, in Ferrocarril de Soledad neighborhood, when a person was killed with a firearm by men who were riding a motorcycle. It is believed that the defendant, who apparently was at the back seat of a motorcycle, shot the victim.
Likewise, the investigation established that alias Mono Abraham had been committing crimes for more than four years and his area would be Barranquilla and its metropolitan area. The Prosecutor’s Office charged him with homicide and illegal possession of weapons. He did not plead guilty.
In the meantime, he will be transferred to the so-called Modelo de Barranquilla prison to serve a sentence.
