Two men, 27 and 23, who were riding a motorcycle on a road in the municipality of Yotoco (Valle del Cauca) were arrested and deprived of their liberty, for being the alleged responsible for transporting 12,470 grams of marijuana. Also, they allegedly offered money to the authorities to avoid being brought before justice.
The defendants are Julio César Córdoba Hernández and Maykol Stiven Gaviria Daza. A judge sent them to prison after accepting the request of the Attorney General’s Office, which is investigating them for the crimes of trafficking, manufacturing and possession of narcotics; as well as bribery (giving or offering)
The defendants were arrested in flagrante delicto when they were riding two motorcycles with 14 packages of marijuana.
The authorities seized the drug and motorcycles. According to the judge’s decision Córdoba Hernández and Gaviria Daza, must serve a sentence in prison.
