At the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, a judge sent two alleged members of the Clan del Golfo to prison. One of them is alias 38 who would be their ringleader in Barrancabermeja (Santander).
On October 22, in La Libertad neighborhood at the oil port, these individuals apparently stole the belongings from some merchants after threatening them and identifying themselves as members of this criminal group.
The Police, after being alerted, managed to intercept them when they were driving a motorcycle
The arrested people were Luis Antonio Rodríguez, alias 38 and Julio Romario Sánchez, alias La Garza.
The Prosecutor’s Office charged them with aggravated theft, aggravated illegal possession of firearms and aggravated violence against a public servant. They did not plead guilty to the charges.
