At the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, a judge sent four alleged members of the Los Toyota criminal group, to prison. They were allegedly involved in grug trafficking in large quantities to Central America
According to the investigation, this organization produces narcotics in laboratories located in the rural area of Santa Rosa del Sur (Bolívar), Catatumbo, Sur de Bolívar and Cesar, from where the drug is sent to the ports of Santa Marta (Magdalena), Cartagena ( Bolívar) and Barranquilla (Atlántico) to take it abroad.
The Prosecutor’s Office charged them with conspiracy to commit a crime for drug trafficking purposes, manufacturing or possession of narcotics.
The people who were arrested by virtue of a court order in the municipalities of Santa Rosa and Aguachica (Cesar) are: Luis Eugenio Ramos, Antonio José García, Janner Enrique Arévalo and Arley Santiago Contreras. They did not plead guilty to the charges.
