At the request of a prosecutor from the Special Directorate against Criminal Organizations, a judge imposed a prison sentence on Braimer Dario Muñoz Rivera, alias Reblujo; and Darney Alberto Muñoz Rivera, alias Patolín.

These two brothers were the alleged leaders of the criminal group ‘Los Chatas’. They allegedly promoted the collection of extortion fees and the sale of drugs in Bello, Copacabana, Girardota, Barbosa, Santa Rosa de Osos, Guatapé, San Rafael and the so-called ‘comunas’ 10 and 11 in Medellín (Antioquia).

They were also allegedly involved in the execution of selective homicides and the displacement of families.

‘Reblujo’ and ‘Patolín’ were arrested in Medellín (Antioquia) in an operation carried out by the National Police. The Prosecutor’s Office charged them with conspiracy to commit an aggravated crime for the purpose of extortion, drug trafficking, forced displacement and homicide.
