Marceliano José Batista Castro, alias Divino, was sentenced to five years and three months in prison. The conclusive evidence provided by the Prosecutor’s Office made the defendant to come to an agreement with the Office of the Attorney General and plead guilty to aggravated conspiracy to commit a crime.

The facts occurred between October 2015 and the end of 2019, a period in which the convicted man sold narcotics in small quantities in various sectors of Cartagena such as Piñango street, the Amador neighborhood and the surroundings of Cerro de la Popa.

For these facts, the National Police arrested Batista Castro on July 11, 2021, in Libano neighborhood in Cartagena.

This court decision is final.
