The Prosecutor’s Office charged Omar Antonio Alvarado La Cruz for being allegedly responsible for aggravated homicide. A judge ordered preventive detention in a prison center.
The facts took place on August 18 in a marketplace in La Hormiga (Putumayo), when in the middle of a fight due to the theft of clothing, a man attacked the victim with a knife who died in a hospital in Puerto Asís (Putumayo) where he was taken due to the seriousness of the injuries.
The day after the events, Alvarado La Cruz appeared at the police station, apparently because people wanted to attack him. There he delivered the sharp weapon that he used to attack the victim.
The defendant did not plead guilty
