After approving the evidence presented by the Prosecutor’s Office, a judge from Pasto (Nariño) issued a prison sentence against José Efraín Andrade Muñoz, alias Chepe, charged with aggravated femicide.

The facts occurred on July 13, 2022, on a farm in the rural area of  Catambuco in  Pasto, when the man allegedly attacked his former girlfriend whom he had threatened to kill with a sharp weapon after she ended their relationship.

The victim died in the building due to the multiple injuries that were received in different parts of the body.

Once the crime was committed, the man left the farm. During the investigation it was established that alias Chepe pretended to be a witness to the crime in order to incriminate another person as the author of the crime.

The defendant was arrested in Pasto by officers of the National Police by virtue of the order issued by a criminal judge.
