At the request of a prosecutor of Centro de Atención Integral a Víctimas de Abuso Sexual (Caivas)* in Cartagena, a judge issued a prison sentence in La Ternera prison against a man, allegedly responsible for committing a sexual offense with a child under 14 years of age.

The facts occurred between February 2021 and last March in the Henequén neighborhood  in Bolívar where the 10-year-old victim was allegedly intimidated with a sharp weapon, and assaulted with touching of a sexual nature.

After committing the offense, the victim was apparently subjected to other acts for fear of the alleged aggressor who was a neighbor. The alleged aggressor allegedly harassed the minor with rude words besides trying to kiss her by force.

Due to these facts, this person was arrested by the National Police on June 26 in the Bossa Laureles neighborhood in Bogotá.

The defendant did not plead guilty to the charges filed by the Prosecutor’s Office.
