José Manuel Vega Zorro and Darwin Esteban García Gómez, were arrested in flagrante delicto and were identified minutes after they apparently stole a cell phone from their victim, who was using it on a street in the rural area of Aguamaco in the municipality of Tauramena, in Casanare
Both men, José Manuel Vega Zorro and Darwin Esteban García Gómez, must answer for the crime aggravated theft.
On June 17, both men approached the victim and took off his cell phone. Then they fled on a motorcycle, but thanks to the fact that the police were notified, the officers were able to locate them. The stolen cell phone was found during the search.
On June 20, a prosecutor from the Sectional Office in Casanare charged them as allegedly responsible for the crime of aggravated robbery. They did not plead guilty. A judge of the municipality of Sabanalarga (Casanare) accepted the request made by the prosecutor´s office to legalize the arrest and seizure proceedings and to decree a measure of deprivation of liberty in a prison center.
