A judge sentenced Bernardo Correa Correa, 18-year-old, to more than 18 years in prison (220 months). He accepted responsibility for the murder of lawyer Emilio Alberto Adarve Velásquez which occurred on June 17, 2020 in Guadalajara de Buga (Valle del Cauca).
The judicial police work showed that the victim was the lawyer Correa in a process of displacement. The evidence collected showed that on the day of the events, the victim had an argument with the now-convicted person.
As stated in the process, Correa attacked the legal professional on multiple occasions with a knife, who lost his life due to the seriousness of his injuries.
The arrest was carried out by the National Police on October 19, 2020 at a police checkpoint in Buga.
