The investigations carried out by the Prosecutor’s Office in coordination with SIJÍN revealed the existence of two properties located in the San Luis and Córdoba neighborhoods in the municipality of Arauca (Arauca), which would be used to store and sell narcotics such as marijuana and bazooka.

After a  home search carried out this June 16 by units of the National Police and the Army, 196 cigarettes and 65 hermetic bags with cocaine ready for sale were seized.

The operation allowed the arrest of Óscar Vicente Bastidas Moreno, Alverson Jesús Ramos Hernández and Alejandro José Linares Beltrán.

In preliminary hearings, the defendants did not plead guilty to trafficking, manufacturing or possession of narcotics. A judge sent them to prison.
