The Attorney General, Francisco Barbosa, held an important meeting in San Salvador with the Attorney General, Rodolfo Delgado, in which they considered signing a cooperation framework agreement to work together against transnational crimes in the region
Cybercrime was one of the central axes of the meeting, in which the bilateral fight against cybercrime was coordinated. Training exchanges for prosecutors and investigators were proposed to combat this scourge.
Environmental crimes, especially illegal mining; and human trafficking were other points on the agenda of the Attorney General Francisco Barbosa and his counterpart in El Salvador. The main actions and results of the Colombian Prosecutor’s Office on these fronts were presented.
The Attorney General Barbosa also highlighted the success of the strategy to combat animal abuse through the Gelma group and the achievements in territorial security. The Attorney General’s Offices of Colombia and El Salvador also shared their valuable experience in asset forfeiture issues.
Likewise, the fight against crimes that harm children and adolescents was discussed, and the strengthening of joint strategies to combat them was announced. The results of the elite groups of the Colombian Prosecutor’s Office in clarifying femicides were also highlighted.
