The Attorney General’s Office brought Johan Alberto Urieles López, alias JJ, before a judge. He is allegedly one of the main hitmen of the Erlin Pino Duarte substructure of ‘Clan del Golfo’.
The evidence shows that this person allegedly ordered selective assassinations and the sale of drugs in Santa Marta, Ciénaga, and Pueblo Viejo (Magdalena). Likewise, there are indications of his responsibility in threats and displacements of the inhabitants of these municipalities, in order to control the territory.
Alias JJ was arrested in a coordinated action carried out by the Prosecutor’s Office, the National Army, and the National Police in Santa Marta. A prosecutor belonging to the Specialized Directorate against Criminal Organizations charged him with conspiracy to commit a crime. The defendant must serve a prison sentence.
