At the request of a prosecutor of the municipality of Tiquisio (Bolívar), a judge issued a prison sentence against Octavio José Jiménez Cruz, allegedly responsible for the offense of domestic violence.

The judicial decision is related to facts that took place in a neighborhood located in the south of Bolívar, where the defendant, 32 years old, lived with his sentimental partner.

Apparently, this person repeatedly physically and verbally abused his sentimental partner. This would allegedly caused the victim some psychological effects.

The most recent attack would have occurred on a public road in the El Silencio neighborhood, where Jiménez Cruz presumably hit his 31-year-old girlfriend. The woman was helped by passers-by and he was arrested in flagrante delicto by the National Police.

This person did not plead guilty to the charges and he was sent to the so-called Camilo Torres prison in Magangué.
