Upon accepting the request made by the Attorney General’s Office, a judge sent Juan Carlos Serna Vargas to prison, allegedly responsible for mistreating his former partner.

The work of the judicial police showed that the aggressions committed against the woman, apparently, had been occurring repeatedly. These facts occurred in the municipality of Seville (Valle del Cauca).

Investigators from the Technical Investigative Corps (Cuerpo Técnico de Investigación CTI) of the Valle del Cauca, and the National Police arrested the defendant by virtue of a court order on a public road in the San José neighborhood in Sevilla.

The Prosecutor’s Office charged the defendant with domestic violence. For his part, the judge in the case imposed a prison sentence.
